Restaurants.

La Félicita - Super trendy food hall style spot with really fun interior design. Good cocktails and casual Italian food. Here’s a profile of it in Vogue.

Pizzeria Popolare – Another trendy Italian place with great interiors. This and La Felicita are by the Big Momma group. Can’t go wrong with anything in their collection.

Chez Janou – Classic casual French brasserie. Great dinner and ambiance. Absolutely must get their chocolate mousse - served in a huge family style serving bowl. Goop likes it.

Bouillon Pigalle – Really solid, basic French – steak frites, onion soup, salade niçoise, etc. Very affordable, packed with locals at happy hour.

Les Bonnes Sœurs – Small, cute spot. Had a great light omelet/salad brunch that was sorely needed after days of steak frites and croque-madames. It’s also right next to my favorite spot in Paris – Place des Vosges.

Le Vagenende – THE quintessential brasserie. Been open forever. Service is great – let the waiter choose your wine.

Frenchie (bar à vins) – The casual wine bar sister to Frenchie that is impossible to get into. This one is first-come-first-served, and you’ll have to wait, but it’s worth it.

Chez Alain Miam Miam – The single best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Seriously. Be prepared to wait in a line, but go on a weekday and it shouldn’t be so bad.

Le Comptoir des Petits Champs – Cute, very approachable bistro. We were definitely put in the American section when we went, but it was still nice.

Restaurant Mieux – Super small and rustic with great food. Our friend who lives there brought us so I think it’s pretty legit.

Cocorico (near Musee d’Orsay), Au Petit Suisse (near Jardin du Luxembourg) and Les Vitelloni – Your standard corner brasseries with lots of seats on the sidewalk for people watching. These were ones we took note of, but you really cannot go wrong with any of them you come by. Get a cheap bottle of rose and make your kids sit for a while.

Berthellon – Famous French ice cream.
